The share of working-age people either working or looking for a job has climbed.

U.S. employers added 150,000 jobs in October, down from the previous month’s revised gain of 297,000, the Labor Department said Friday.
That was the smallest gain since June, with automakers having around 33,000 fewer workers on payroll because of the United Auto Workers strike.
The unemployment rate rose to 3.9% from 3.8% the prior month.
